Los puntos ciegos en el gran plano: algunos problemas en la representación visual de la violencia, la raza y el género en Roma de Alfonso Cuarón
Abstract
This article analyzes the ideological background reflected on the visual artifacts used by Cuarón on the film Roma. It is analyzed principally the long-take and the wide shots, as well as the use of the photography in black and white. I am discussing here how this visual elements are problematic in relation to the representation that Cuarón claims to make of the race, gender and the historical events.
