Abstract
Adolfo Gilly’s The Mexican Revolution, published in The New Press’s series A People’s History, directed by Howard Zinn, is an updated translation of his influential book La Revolución interrumpida, published originally in 1971. Gilly’s book is a welcome addition to the available literature in English on the Mexican Revolution. Most of the recent books on the Mexican Revolution are either specialized studies of regional history or extensive volumes that would overwhelm a good number of undergraduate students and lay readers.
