Rosa Elena Carrasquillo es profesora catedrática de historia en el College of Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. Investiga y publica temas sobre raza, identidad, acceso a la tierra, y género en el Caribe español. Su último libro se titula The People’s Poet: Life and Myth of Ismael Rivera, an Afro-Caribbean Icon (Caribbean Studies Press, 2014).
