Elliott Young es Profesor Asociado de Historia Latinoamericana, Director de Estudios Etnicos y Director de Estudios Latinoamericanos en Lewis & Clark College. Es autor de Catarino Garza's Revolution on the Texas Mexico Border (Duke University Press, 2004) y co-editor de Continental Crossroads: Frontiers, Borders and Transnational History in the US-Mexico Borderlands, 1821-1940 (Duke University Press, 2004). Es también co-director del Instituto Tepoztlán para la Historia Transnacional de las Americas. Trabaja actualmente en un proyecto titulado "The First ‘Illegals’: The Chinese Diaspora in Greater North America”.
