Charles Brockett es profesor de Ciencia Política en Sewanee: La Universidad del Sur. Entre sus publicaciones están Political Violence and Movements in Central America (Cambridge University Press, 2005) y Land, Power, and Poverty: Agrarian Transformation and Political Conflict in Central America (Westview Press, 1998). Actualmente trabaja en un libro en que examina el impacto de la violencia revolucionaria sobre el estado en Argentina, Brasil y Guatemala.
